St Ives Harbour Hotel The Porthminster St Ives Cornwall

Welcome to St Ives, Cornwall.  Our much loved Porthminster Harbour Hotel has been refreshed and revitalised starting in Reception, spreading throughout the Ground Floor public areas, into the beautiful, extended Harbour Restaurant and the new chic Bar, plus many bedrooms have been refurbished. Our new Spa will also be opening soon and so to celebrate this work we have a new name for the Hotel – St Ives Harbour Hotel.

For short breaks, summer holidays, weddings or business events we offer the best experiences in West Cornwall. Our inspirational breaks are tailored to meet your perfect holiday requirements. Locations don't get much better than this. The St Ives Harbour Hotel is nestled in sub-tropical gardens on the coast of St.Ives in West Cornwall. Perched directly above the beach, and overlooking the clear waters of St Ives Bay and the famous Godrevy Lighthouse (immortalised by novelist Virginia Woolf), the views from our hotel are amongst the best you'll find anywhere in Cornwall.

With its unspoilt fishing harbour and maze of traditional white cottages, magnificent golden beaches and famously clear light, St Ives has inspired generations of artists, writers and poets for over a century. Warmed by the nearby Gulf Stream, this region's climate is the mildest in the UK, making it ideal for breaks both in and out of season. Often likened to a Mediterranean fishing village, sub-tropical plants and towering palm trees flourish here, and in summer the streets are swathed in colour as the town's flower displays burst into bloom.

As our guest you'll have direct access to Porthminster beach - the award-winning half-mile crescent of perfect, powder-fine sand that is, quite literally, on our doorstep.
And whether you're taking a leisurely stroll along the coast on a mellow autumn day, lazing on the beach at the height of the summer or exploring the galleries that line the ancient streets of the town, it won't be long before you fall under the spell of St Ives.

Refurbishment: Please note: The hotel has now undergone a major refurbishment through winter 2009 / 2010 and most areas are now redecorated and rejuvenated. There are some remaining areas, however; we are confident that there will be no disruption to your stay and moreover that you will enjoy the new features and facilities as we continue to improve and enhance the hotel.
