GUIDANCE FOR THOSE WISHING TO MARRY ON APPROVED PREMISES

To arrange a wedding at the Porthminster Hotel you must first contact us to make provisional arrangements and then you must contact the Superintendent Registrar at the Register Office in Penzance (Tel 01736 330093) to ensure the Registration officers can attend your wedding on the date and time of your choice.
Penzance Registrars Office Opening Hours:
Monday - 9.30 - 12.30 2.00 - 3.00pm
Tuesday - 9.30 am - 12.30pm
Wednesday - 9.30 - 12.30pm
Thursday - 9.30 - 12.30 pm
Friday - 9.30 - 12 noon
The Superintendent Registrar will provisionally book the wedding date, but a notice of marriage must be given before the marriage can take place. The superintendent will therefore advise about giving notice of marriage. You can start to think about booking your wedding up to one year in advance. Please read the "Getting Married in Cornwall" booklet from the Registrar regarding giving notice.
The Ceremony can be tailored to meet your needs and the Superintendent Registrar will be happy to discuss the style of wedding to ensure you have a perfect day.
