Leisure

Within the hotel, the leisure centre and its facilities have been especially designed to offer something for everybody to enjoy.

In partnership with St. Ives Tennis CLub we now have use of our local tennis courts, located close to the hotel. Courts are available free of charge and lessons can be arranged at an additional cost. Bookings can be made via reception and are subject to availability. Please note you will need to bring your own equipment.

In addition to our heated outdoor swimming pool which is open from 1st June to early September, we have a heated indoor pool that is open all year around.

The rest of the leisure complex offers a superb sauna, a splendid solarium that can give a healthy tan - whatever the weather or time of year - and a really special spa bath for further pleasure. Relax and enjoy the peace!

If you choose to be more active then our trimnasium has all the latest equipment for your use. This complete fitness centre incorporates colour posters and work out guides at every station, giving an aide memoire to the expert fitness fanatic and a step by step guide to those who don't perhaps exercise regularly. Showers, changing rooms and security lockers are provided.

If this all sounds a bit energetic, take heart, there is a bar attached to our Leisure Centre*! Alternatively you can relax and lounge beside our outdoor pool and enjoy our enchanting sub-tropical gardens with many palms and exotic plants.

Porthminster beach is below the hotel, with your own private access to a beautiful golden stretch of sand, ideal for a paddle, swim or soak up the sunshine. Within easy travelling distance of the Porthminster Hotel you can enjoy golf, tennis, horse riding, sailing, deep-sea fishing, wind surfing and water ski-ing, walking or wandering, sightseeing or sunbathing, - or just slumbering - the choice is yours.
