Terms and conditions

Deposits – A non-refundable deposit of £100 per person is required and the reservation is confirmed on receipt of the deposit. (For Christmas and New Year breaks a non-refundable deposit of £150 per person is required.)

Children – Childrens’ dinners can be pre-ordered from a special childrens’ menu and served between 5.30pm–6.30pm in the restaurant or their bedrooms. This menu is not available after 6.30pm. Children are welcome to join you for evening dinner. Cots and high chairs are available by prior arrangement. For your peace of mind, you can use the telephone to listen in to your room and check your child is sleeping soundly from any telephone in the hotel.

Dogs – Dogs are accepted in some bedrooms and there is a charge of £8 daily. Please state at the time of booking that you intend to bring a dog. Dogs are not allowed in public rooms and swimming pool areas. Visitors will be responsible for any damage caused by their dogs.

Smoking and dress code – The hotel operates a no smoking policy throughout the entire hotel, including all bedrooms and public areas. Guests prefer ‘smart casual’ clothes for dinner in the restaurant and around the hotel in the evenings.

Single parent offer – One parent families will not be charged any supplement for single occupancy of a double room and are welcome to occupy a double or twin room at the price per person per night as shown on the Tariff. (Children will be charged according to the children’s tariff.) We regret this offer does not apply during July and August.

Car parking – Car parking is free of charge. All cars are parked at owner’s risk. It is requested that guests leave car keys at Reception during their stay.

Access for people with disabilities – A ramp is available as there are some steps leading up to the hotel and to the bar. Should there be anything you feel we should be made aware of in order to ensure your comfort and safety whilst you are with us, please do not hesitate to inform us.

Sea view tables in the dining room – Sea view tables in the restaurant are limited and we regret these cannot be guaranteed during your stay.

St Eia Suite – On occasions it will be necessary to close the residents lounge (St Eia Suite) and Bar Lounge. The Borlase Smart Lounge will be available to hotel guests on these occasions.

Requests for particular rooms – Requests for particular rooms by room number can be made but are not guaranteed, although we will do our best.

Bathrobes – Towelling bathrobes are provided for your use at the hotel. If you would like to take your robe home, please tell Reception. The charge is £45.

Cancellation – We regret deposits are not refundable on cancellation of accommodation and cancellation within 14 days of arrival will be charged at 100% of the booking value. We advise that you take out insurance to protect yourself against this risk.

Payment of accounts – All major credit cards are accepted. Prior arrangements must be made for payment by cheque.

Lost property – We cannot accept responsibility for any property lost at the hotel unless deposited at the office for safe-keeping and a receipt obtained.

The tariff – The tariff is subject to review.

Check in and departure – Check in time is 2.00 pm (3.00pm in July and August)

On departure, guests are requested to check out and vacate their bedroom and the hotel car park promptly at 11.00a.m on departure day. However, should you wish to use the hotel facilities after 11.00a.m we have additional car parking at Primrose Valley and you are welcome to use this facility should you require.
